Enjoy cycling in Hokkaido
Hokkaido is suitable for cycling, because of wide roads and invigorating climate. The humidity in summer in Hokkaido is lower than other prefectures. Therefore it can ride bicycle comfortably. Furthermore there is a lot of nature and great food in Hokkaido.
Ororon Line

National Route 231&232 (Ishikari - Teshio) : Road along seaside of a marvelous view. Approaching to Wakkanai, it can see Mt. Rishiri on the other side of the sea. The name of this road "Ororon Line" comes from the name of bird which lives in Teuri Island.

National Route 237-West 11 line (Kami Furano) : Straight road that runs the severe hills of high and low, it is called the path of the roller coaster. This road across farmland. It is nice view. No doubt you will want to take photos.
Pilot Kokudo
パイロット国道
National Route 243 (Abashiri - Nemuro) : About 110 km national route across the meadows and farms. There is also a good straight road view. It must ride a bicycle carefully, because cars often run too fast. The name of road "Pilot" comes from the pilot farm which the government promoted.
You cannot become a pilot, but you can feel sky there.
